The East Piazza of Covent Garden Market will be transformed into a romantic German Christmas Market, or 'Weihnachtsmarkt', from 10am until 8pm every day, with the opening ceremony starting at 5pm on the 25th. Embellished log cabins will house a range of stalls offering a whole range of items including mulled wine, arts and crafts, gifts, Christmas decorations and speciality foods. An on-going entertainment programme, Christmas trees, fantastic decorations and traditional music, carol singers, and a daily visit from Santa Claus will add to the atmosphere, ensuring that Covent Garden Market will not only be the perfect place for Christmas shopping, but also for a family outing. The entertainment programme will include Gospel singers, German choir, open - air Chritmas service , Santa Claus, German-style Punch and Judy show, opera singers, a vote for the best decorated stall and many other traditional events.
