Objectives

To improve the work targets of government advisers by making them conscious of the classical techniques and methods that consultants use and which they could adopt.

1. Identify good practice among the team and adopt it consistently
2. Manage the implementation of a commitment to IIP as efficiently as possible
3. Manage the client’s project manager using best project management techniques
4. Know how and when to engage and disengage with the client
5. Build successful relationships with clients
6. Capture the best information from the client to enable the IIP implementation process to be bought into.

Programme design

Programme design There is a 2 day introduction to models of consulting. This ends with a of a project which course members complete before half day follow up meeting after about 3 weeks. A 30 page of reference folder provides course members with the worksheets and reminders for of the programmes.
