Objectives

AIM

To improve the work targets of government advisers by making them conscious of the classical techniques and methods that consultants use and which they could adopt.

OBJECTIVES

• Identify good practice among the team and adopt it consistently
• Manage the implementation of a commitment to IIP as efficiently as possible
• Manage the client’s project manager using best project management techniques
• Know how and when to engage and disengage with the client
• Build successful relationships with clients
• Capture the best information from the client to enable the IIP implementation process to be bought into.

Programme design

There is a 2 day introduction to models of consulting. This ends with a project which course members complete before a half day follow up meeting after about 3 weeks. A 30 page of reference folder provides course members with the worksheets and reminders for of the programmes.
