Objectives

At the end of the programme, course members will be able to:

  1. Understand the needs for personal and organisational creativity in the current business environment.
  2. Use lateral thinking methods to generate useful new and alternative ideas.
  3. Use a range of tools to assist in problem identification, problem solving and solution implementation.
  4. Organise and manage project work to enable team members to use their creativity.
  5. Recognise the characteristics of entrepreneurial behaviour in organisations

Programme design

This is a two or three day programme with a very high level of participation. Course members learn about creating by creating. They are asked to be innovative to learn about innovation. There are a number of on going short exercises to stretch the mind and add to the fun of the course. Conceptual background is included as are real case studies to enable course members to understand how and why they need to change. Longer programmes can include film case studies, input on chaos theory and an exercise to create a new product.
